What is the TOEFL score calculator?

The TOEFL score calculator is an online tool that helps students estimate their total TOEFL iBT score by combining raw scores from Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing sections into the official 0–120 scale.

How is the TOEFL score calculated?

TOEFL iBT has four sections: Reading (0–30), Listening (0–30), Speaking (0–30), and Writing (0–30). The calculator adds these section scores to give a total score out of 120.

What TOEFL score is required for Pakistani students applying abroad?

Most universities in the USA, Canada, UK, and Australia require a score between 80–100 for admission. However, top universities may ask for 100+, while some accept 60–70 for diploma or foundation programs.

How can I convert my TOEFL score to Pakistani grading system?

There is no official HEC (Higher Education Commission of Pakistan) conversion, but generally:
TOEFL 100+ ≈ A grade (Excellent)
TOEFL 80–99 ≈ B grade (Good)
TOEFL 60–79 ≈ C grade (Average)
This helps students understand their performance compared to local grading.

Is TOEFL accepted by HEC Pakistan?

Yes. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan recognizes TOEFL iBT for admissions to foreign universities and scholarship applications.

Do Pakistani universities require TOEFL?

Most local universities in Pakistan (e.g., Punjab University, Karachi University, NUST) do not require TOEFL. However, TOEFL may be required if you are applying for an international program, dual-degree, or foreign-funded scholarship.
