About LSAT Scoring

The LSAT is scored on a scale from 120 to 180, with 120 being the lowest possible score and 180 being the highest. Your raw score (the number of questions you answered correctly) is converted to a scaled score using a conversion table that varies slightly from test to test to account for differences in difficulty.

What is an LSAT Score Converter?

An LSAT Score Converter is a tool that helps students understand how their raw LSAT score (number of correct answers) translates into the official scaled LSAT score (120–180). For Pakistani students, it helps in comparing performance with international applicants.

Is the LSAT score directly comparable to Pakistani grading systems like FSC or A-Levels?

No. LSAT scores are percentile-based and standardized, while Pakistani systems (FSC percentages, GPA, or grades in O/A Levels) are absolute marks-based. However, converters and percentile charts help universities in Pakistan and abroad evaluate students fairly.

Why do Pakistani students need an LSAT Score Converter?

Because Pakistani students often think in terms of percentages (e.g., 80% = A grade). The converter makes it easier to interpret LSAT performance in a familiar way, e.g., what a score of 160 on LSAT might mean in terms of percentile equivalence compared to an FSC or A-Level student.

How is the LSAT raw score calculated?

Each correct answer gives 1 point, and there is no negative marking. The raw score is then scaled (usually 0–100 raw points → 120–180 LSAT scale).

Can LSAT scores be converted into FSC or GPA marks?

Not directly. LSAT does not measure memorization or subject knowledge like FSC exams. Instead, it tests analytical reasoning, logical thinking, and reading skills. Some universities may give equivalency guidelines to compare LSAT percentiles with local grading, but it’s never exact.

Does HEC Pakistan or IBCC provide LSAT equivalency?

Currently, no official LSAT-to-FSC/A-Level equivalency is provided by HEC or IBCC. Universities that accept LSAT (like LUMS) use the scaled score directly, not a converted percentage.

What LSAT score is considered “good” for Pakistani students?

150–155: Average performance (around 50th percentile).
160–165: Competitive for many international law schools.
170+: Excellent, top 2–3% worldwide.
Pakistani students aiming for LUMS (Law program) or foreign LL.B. admissions often target 160+.
