AIOU Scholarship For Communities Scheme 2024
AIOU has announced a community scholarship for disadvantaged groups of society. This group consists of Disabled, Orphans, Children of Shuhda, Prisoners, and Transgender. The main purpose of this scholarship is to uplift these levels and by education, they can also achieve their dream.
They can’t remain deprived of the right to education which is a basic right of every citizen of Pakistan.
Nature of Students Who Fall Into This Scheme
Disable Persons
those students who are physically handicapped or disabled due to certain diseases. like polio are eligible for this scholarship.
Fee Concession Rate for Disable Persons:
Those students who are disabled have to pay only 50% of fees in four four-year semesters or any other programs like matric, Fa, etc.
Blind Persons:
Those students who were born with congenital or loss his /her sight are categorized in this group.AIOU administration will provide fully funded scholarships or full-fee concessions for these students.
Fee Concession Rate Blind Persons:
Full fee concessions will be given to these students. They need to pay registration and admission fees at the beginning of admission. All academic fees will be borne by the university.
Orphans
Those students whose parents have died and are unable to pay semester fees fall into this group.
Fee Concession rate for orphans:
Full funded fee concession will be given to these students from matric level to graduation. Student age must be up to 25 years both males and females will be eligible for this scheme.
A copy of the father’s death certificate needs to be attached from the local union chairman is necessary for this scheme. These students will pay only admission fees and registration fees.
Full fee concession will be granted for orphan students.
Children of Shuhda
AIOU always remains in the first line to help brave soldiers and children who sacrifice their lives for the protection of our homeland. AIOU provides full-fee concessions for the children of Shuuda. Full fee concession will be awarded to the children of Shuhada.
Children of shuhuda need to attest shuhuda certificate issued by the Army Welfare Board in case of the Army and Police Authorities in case of the Police).
Fee Concession rate for Children of Shuhda
Full fee concession will be given to the children of Shuhuda by the AIOU. This includes from the metric level to until graduation level. The age limit is a maximum of 25 years.
Transgender
Education is a basic right of every citizen of Pakistan.AIOU has launched a scheme “education for all ” initiative in which transgender are also included. AIOU has given equal opportunity to the transgender community so they can also educate themselves.
For this purpose, AIOU has given full fee concessions to the transgender community.

Full fee concession will be given to the transgender community. This includes from the metric level to until graduation level. The age limit is a maximum of 25 years.
